We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who can raise our bar. We set it high on purpose: the best solutions, the latest technologies, and zero tolerance for ‘it kind of works.’
We’re the Labyrinth Labs, a One-stop-shop for DevOps, cloud and Kubernetes ensuring a hassle-free cloud journey. Our mission is transforming businesses to become cloud native and future ready with focus on architecting and building robust, scalable, cloud native platforms. What’s our vision? Simple: A world where an optimal cloud infrastructure is a commodity.
In the beginning, we were just three engineers who enjoyed solving complex infrastructure challenges together. More tech enthusiasts hopped on board, and before we knew it, there was that “Well, look at that, we’ve got a company!” realization. That core passion never faded; it still drives our engineers to always strive for the best solutions, new techniques and skills. And yes, clients dig us, because our commitment to seriously good work is why they stick around. It’s all about our team and the way we roll. We’re a bunch of motivated, talented engineers who are always hungry to learn new skills.
Know your way around AWS and K8s? Can you look at an application and see how it should run in the cloud? Good. We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to own our application onboarding process: bringing customer applications onto LARA-powered cloud-native platforms. Not just moved, improved. That’s exactly the kind of challenge we signed up for. No magic, just tech excellence.
Here’s the thing: spinning up a new platform is the easy part, thanks to LARA. The real work is understanding the customer’s application, making the right architectural calls, and getting everything to production without anyone noticing the migration happened. You’ll be responsible for the application onboarding and migration process as a whole, and for the architectural and platform decisions behind it. But no lone-wolf stuff here: you’ll be backed by skilled engineers ready to jump in, challenge your solution with a fresh perspective, or simply play rubber duck when you’re stuck on something.
Are you ready to…
- Plan and execute application onboarding for new customers, building a fresh LARA-based platform on AWS, tailored to their needs. Spawning the platform is just one part of the job. The hard part comes next.
- Analyze customer services inside out, then advise on application architecture so everything runs smoothly on AWS and LARA.
- Guide customers in designing the right solution: selecting services, optimizing the application, and shaping the platform around it, simply everything an application needs for a happy runtime and prevents future bottlenecks and keeps the application ready for growth.
- Prepare all the essential platform areas and everything else needed for a successful production launch.
- Plan and execute application migrations without downtime. And no, we don’t do lift-and-shift. It falls apart in too many scenarios, and that’s just not how we work.
- Dig into the customer’s current pain points and design the new platform to minimize or remove them. We look at every solution from multiple angles and choose the best one, not the fastest to implement, because we care about tech excellence and keeping both the application and the platform easy to live with in production.
- Push things further. Sometimes that means rearchitecting the application, pushing the platform to its limits, or using cutting-edge approaches nobody has tried before.
- Improve and extend LARA. Actively develop our cloud-native platform based on real customer needs and production experience.
- Talk tech with customers. A lot. Onboarding means plenty of technical communication: explaining, advising, and standing behind your architectural decisions.
- Contribute to OSS projects whenever a bug bites or you spot a way to make things work better, ours or the community’s. You get what you give.
You’ll thrive here if…
- You’re fluent in Slovak or Czech.
- You have 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a similar engineering role.
- You don’t stop at recommendations. You enjoy designing architectures, analyzing existing environments, and turning ideas into production-ready solutions.
- You have really hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider [AWS, GCP, or Azure] and know what it takes to run production workloads.
- You have experience running Kubernetes in production: EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift, or self-managed clusters.
- You regularly work with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and have built or maintained CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with application or infrastructure migrations is a big plus. If you’ve been through one before, you know why.
- You can explain complex technical decisions to customers clearly, and back them up when it matters.
- You enjoy solving hard application and platform challenges with pragmatic engineering rather than overengineering.
- Programming or software development experience is a nice bonus.

We know your time is precious [so is ours!]. We aim to make a decision as quickly as possible after your first interview. Here’s the game plan:
- Round 1: The Vibe Check [60 mins]: Our People Partner gives you the full lowdown on the role and our Labyrinth Labs culture [all the fun, slightly chaotic details!] while also getting to know you, your motivations, and a snapshot of the awesome skills you have.
- Round 2: Tech Talk & Brain Flex [120 mins]: Think of this as a two-hour collaborative workout for your brain with our DevOps Engineer. Show us your skills, how you think through problems, and your approach to decision-making. Bring your A-game, not your buzzword cards.
- Round 3: The CTO Huddle [Tech Edition!]: It’s a relaxed chat with our CTO. He’s mainly looking to see if your spark matches ours and if you're truly ready for the Labyrinth adventure.
Be part of a cutting-edge technology company. Not a 100% fit for you according to the description? That’s OK, apply anyway, and let us know what else you can bring to the table.
