DevOps and cloud-native conferences bring great people together across Europe. We’ve attended many of them, spoken at them and learned a lot along the way. But around Bratislava, Vienna and Brno, we kept feeling that something was still missing: a space that feels closer to how engineering actually works.
Because real engineering rarely follows the clean storyline of a conference case study.
Systems fail. Kubernetes upgrades do not always go according to plan. The cloud bill surprises everyone at least once. AI projects do not transform businesses overnight. Teams disagree, priorities change and sometimes the most valuable lesson comes from a decision you would never make again.
Those are the stories we want to hear more often. That is why we created #nobullshit.camp.
Not because Europe needs another DevOps conference, but because we believe our region deserves one.
Built around conversations we would actually like to have
Over the years, we’ve attended conferences across Europe, organised community meetups through AWS User Group Bratislava, helped build TechFellows and spent countless hours talking to engineers over coffee or beer after the official program ended.
Those conversations always felt different [more genuine]. People stopped presenting frameworks and started talking about trade-offs. About incidents, scaling pains and architectural decisions they regretted. About hiring mistakes that hurt more than production outages. About AI proofs of concept that looked great in a demo but never made it into production.
We asked ourselves a question: Why do so few of these conversations make it onto the stage?
Eventually, we decided to create the kind of event where they could.
On 23 September 2026, the DevOps, Platform Engineering and cloud-native community will come together at Nová Cvernovka in Bratislava for one day of practical stories from the people building, breaking and running modern technology.
The program covers the topics engineering teams deal with every day:

- Cloud-native technologies and AI
- Engineering Culture
- Leadership in modern engineering teams
The goal is not to showcase perfect architectures. It is to talk about the decisions that met reality, what survived and what people learned along the way.

That is why #nobullshit.camp has one Campfire Stage. Everyone experiences the same talks, discussions and moments worth debating afterwards.
Outside, the Goulash “Stage” keeps things going around an actual fire and a pot of actual goulash. Speakers and attendees can continue the discussion without a countdown timer, formal Q&A or moderator bringing things to a close.
The stage is where the story begins, and the most valuable conversations continue beyond it.
Why leadership belongs next to Kubernetes
Infrastructure is only half the story.
You can have great platform architecture, the latest CNCF project in production and perfectly automated deployments. But if your team cannot collaborate, trust each other or make good decisions under pressure, none of it will work for very long.
That is why #nobullshit.camp is not only about Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure or AI.
It is also about the people building and operating those systems every day. About how teams communicate, how leaders make decisions and how company culture influences the technology being built.

Tomáš Srnka, Head of Engineering at E2B
His team runs millions of secure cloud sandboxes every day for companies including Perplexity, Hugging Face and Mistral. Before that, he spent a decade building hosting infrastructure as CTO at Websupport.
Michal Baumgartner, Platform Engineering Manager at Deepnote
Building Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS and thinking deeply about node provisioning, platform security and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
Ott Salmar, Co-Founder of Hykell

#nobullshit.camp is organised by Labyrinth Labs, a company specialising in DevOps, cloud and Kubernetes, and the back-to-back AWS Consulting Partner of the Year for Central and Eastern Europe in 2024 and 2025.
Community has always been part of how we work.
Technology is moving faster than ever. AI is changing how software is built, Platform Engineering continues to evolve and teams everywhere are trying to understand what these changes mean in practice.
No single company has all the answers. But as a community, we can learn from each other’s successes and often even more from each other’s mistakes.
That is what #nobullshit.camp is really about.
Not simply organising another conference, but creating a place where honest conversations are the main event. A format we hope the engineering community will return to year after year.
